1. What is the difference between the Pony Club Gaiters & the Classic Equestrian Gaiters.

A. The Pony Club Gaiter is made for the growing young rider who is on a budget. Both styles are made from the same full grain leather & are very hard wearing. The Pony Club Gaiter has a synthetic leather lining, whereas the Classic Gaiter has real leather lining, hand turned edges & further reinforcement. Pony Club Gaiters are generally outgrown before they are worn out. Properly cared for, they are generally passed on to younger family members or sold to Pony Club friends.

Hamag is happy to provide repairs to both styles.


2. How long do Gaiters orders take to be delivered?

A. The average lead time is 3-4 weeks, but sometimes can be longer in the busy seasons or prior to Christmas. If there is urgent dates to be met for say a birthday or a competition, please tell us and we will endeavour to get them to you in time.


3. I've recieved my Gaiters and the fit is a little off. What now?

A. On rare occasions, your new pair of Gaiters may need some slight adjusting in order to fit you like a glove. If this is the case, let us know what the problem is and send your Gaiters back for a free adjustment.


4. How do I look after my Hamag Gaiters?

A. Look after the Gaiters as you would a good pair of shoes. Remove any excess dust or dirt with a damp cloth after use, and polish with a good quality boot polish. We advise not to use any of the leather creams available, as some of these can make the leather go mushy. Do not put too much boot polish on the inside leg as it may come off on your saddle.


5. Will Hamag do repairs to its Gaiters?

A. YES, Hamag does repairs to our Gaiters, but NOT to other brands. All you need to do is send them back to us, clean, clearly labelled with your name, address and phone number. It is hard to give a quote over the phone till we see what work needs to be done. These repairs will help keep your Hamag Gaiters going for many years.


6. I want a 4 Number Holder for my Bridle, can you help me?

A. Yes we can. A full 4 Number Holder would be too big to put on the Bridle, however you can still use 4 numbers. With the 3 number holder, withdraw the number set provided, and replace with a printed and laminated card with your own horse’s numbers (& name!). This is easily done, or we can do this for you for $25 a pair


7. I am not sure about my belt size?

A. We understand your concern, particularly when belts can be worn from the waist down to the hips. So we require the actual measurement around the area you wear your belt. We then provide the extra length required.
