Eventing Victoria has deemed that organising committees can no longer enforce the wearing of cross country number holders in any phase other then cross country.They may still request competitors to do so but riders can choose to wear bridle or saddle cloth numbers on both sides of the horse instead.Competitiors are encouraged to wear bridle or saddle cloth numbers on both sides of the horse for dressage & jumping anyway, as it enables the hardworking judges, stewards & marshalls to easily identify them
